A storm Newcastle still talks about

Newcastle Lit Up was built from a single storm cell that rolled in off the coast and sat over the city for the best part of an hour. Rather than hold out for one perfect bolt, the frame gathers a run of strikes from that window into a single image: the sky torn open in white and violet above a skyline that carries on, lit and unbothered, underneath it.

It's a picture designed to work at both distances: the overall shape of the storm from across a room, and the texture in the clouds and the individual lit windows across the city up close.
